About this Event / Event Link Here

The government’s reaction to the coronavirus crisis has transformed expectations about our economy, with major implications for Scotland. In this new series from STUC, leading academics, activists and trade unionists come together to present new paths forward for addressing both the immediate crisis and our underlying economic problems.

This first seminar will offer a critical assessment of the record on two interconnected issues, climate change and inequality. The last months have shown what government can achieve but also how much our society depends on low paid essential workers. What scale of measures are necessary to address the environmental challenge facing our society? And how do we ensure that talk of climate justice delivers justice for the workers on which our society depends?

Please note: the seminar begins at 6pm and the plan is to end at 7pm.
