We’re searching for one more article to give a better perspective on how the creation/delineation of national parks affected the lives of the people living in them.
John Muir was a founding member of the Sierra Club and did a lot for the environmental movement. We learn about him as a founder of the conservation movement but this is a controversial and white-washed statement – and so exploring his journey and racism is a great way for us to see some of the white supremacy embedded in our movement. Or not as these questions are open to debate. Form your own opinions and be ready to discuss/debate them!
