A Conversation with Ayana Elizabeth Johnson: Climate Science, Policy and Justice

“The most influential marine biologist of our time” (Outside), Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson kicks off The Great Northern’s climate solutions series with a conversation on climate science, policy and justice with Minnesota Public Radio’s Dan Kraker. This event is co-presented by the Westminster Town Hall Forum, whose mission is to engage the public in reflection and dialogue on the key issues of our day from an ethical perspective.

Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson is a marine biologist, policy expert, and Brooklyn native. She is founder of the non-profit think tank Urban Ocean Lab, founder and CEO of the consultancy Ocean Collectiv, and co-creator and co-host of the podcast How to Save a Planet. She co-edited the anthology All We Can Save, and co-founded The All We Can Save Project in support of women climate leaders. Johnson’s mission is to build community around climate solutions. She is a passionate advocate for coastal communities, and builds solutions for ocean justice and our climate crisis.

This promises to be an incredible event on climate justice and what we can all do, and is presented free by the Westminster Town Hall Forum and The Great Northern. Watch online at the Town Hall Forum website, on YouTube, and on Facebook, as well as broadcast by Minnesota Public Radio.
