Nigel Topping is the UK’s High-Level Climate Action Champion for the COP26 UN climate conference.

With the Covid-19 crisis forcing the postponement of the summit till 2021, the UN’s Climate Ambition Alliance has recently launched a ‘Race to Zero’ emissions campaign, designed to turbo-charge support for the net-zero transition across businesses, cities and nations, and to ensure the post-pandemic economic recovery is a green one.

In conversation with Matthew Taylor, Nigel Topping shares his ambitions for the historic talks ahead and outlines the practical steps we need to take to strengthen political resolve, build civic momentum, and galvanise action across the everyday economy.
