Care About Food? Help us improve a Food Growing Strategy for Edinburgh 7.00-8.45pm Wed 13 Jan.
A draft Food Growing Strategy is out for consultation. Help us prepare a response! After contributions from two speakers on support for producing good local food we shall get our discussion going in smaller groups.
Prof Lynn Jamieson, Gracemount Community Garden, will set the scene and chair the event. Stuart McKenzie, President of the Federation of Edinburgh and District Allotments and Gardens Associations (FEDAGA) will update us on ‘Landfill to Gold – Communal Composting at Inverleith Allotments’.
The CEC consultation is open till Monday 18 January – you can respond any time before then.
An interactive session for all those working on local solutions to the Growing Crisis amid the Climate and Ecological Emergency. Transition Edinburgh – long-time advocates for a climate neutral capital city through awareness raising sessions – invites your contributions!
Does the draft recognise climate, nature loss and local food sovereignty?
Does it address YOUR concerns about local food growing opportunities?
