Event Details

With COP26 in Glasgow just around the corner, join us for this creative workshop and discussion about our relationship with the land and the resources we harvest from it. Textile artist India Wills from Wild Hues will show us how to use food scraps and other plant materials to dye recycled fabric squares with which we will create protest banners for COP26. We will have an open discussion about why we are using materials that others have deemed as waste, what a more respectful and reciprocal relationship to the land could look like and what issues there are around access to land and our relationships with natural resources in Glasgow, Scotland and elsewhere.

There will be two 90 minute workshops; one at 12 noon and one at 2pm on each of the following dates and at the following venues:

Saturday 9th of October – Pollokshields Bowling Green

Sunday 17th of October – Kinning Park Complex

Sunday 24th of October – Soul Food Sisters

Registration for the workshops will open in September. Email [email protected] to register your interest.
