Panel Discussion: How is climate change leading to modern slavery and what are the solutions?

About this Event

Climate change and environmental destruction have profound implications for human rights and are driving vulnerability to modern slavery. People who are already among the most vulnerable are particularly hard-hit.

Climate action needs to happen fast, but it also needs to be participatory and fair. This is where the growing agenda around a ‘just transition’ to a zero-carbon future comes in, with a particular focus on respecting the rights of people on the frontline of climate impacts.
