Join Interfaith Glasgow to hear inspirational speakers and discuss your own thoughts and ideas with people from different backgrounds, so that together we can begin to change the course of the climate crisis and get off the road to ruin!

With Rabiah Abdullah, Co-Founder of The Rabbani Project

and

Rev Fletcher Harper, Executive Director of GreenFaith

During the pandemic there has been a lot of talk of when we can return to normal.  But anyone attending to climate science over the past decade will know that ‘normal’ has us on course to environmental catastrophe and that we are now reaching tipping points that place us at crisis point.  Concerted action is urgently required of us all, but how do we get ourselves motivated and what action can people from diverse faith and belief communities take that will make a difference?

While the negative impact of human activity on the planet has not gone away while our attention has been on coping with the pandemic, one positive outcome of the way we have lived in 2020 may be the changes that have taken place in many people’s hearts and minds.  Crucially, many have reported developing a deeper sense of connection with the natural world during lockdown.

Can we now capitalise on this greater sense of connection and use it to reorientate our relationship with nature so that we are willing to make the changes that tackling this crisis demands?  And can we build a movement for climate action that embraces the massive contribution that faith communities can make, particularly when they work together?

These are questions that will be posed to our two fantastic speakers, and then to you, the participants, as you discuss, share and learn from each other in small groups.  All welcome!

Places are limited so please book soon to avoid disappointment.
