About this Event
This event is part of a series of skillsharing workshops open to young people in Scotland aged 16-30:
What do prisons and policing have to do with climate justice? Is abolition is a necessary strategy within the fight for anti-racist, feminist and environmental justice? What does it mean for our climate campaigns and movement spaces?
Join us for this workshop with Kelsey of CAPE and Cradle Community for an intro to prison abolition and to unpack what it means for the climate movement. Together we will uncover the links between climate justice and abolition, and work to envision a world with safe, resilient communities equipped with the tools to respond to harm and support each other, without the use of punishment, surveillance and cages.
