A 2-part event to allow teachers to explore climate change, climate justice and climate action through active learning methodologies.
About this event
This 2-part training event (2/6 & 16/6) will use active learning methodologies to support teachers of broad general education to explore climate change with learners – from the science, through climate justice and beyond climate anxiety, to climate action.
Part 1 Wednesday 2nd June, 5-6.30pm
(i) An introduction to climate change from a local to a global perspective (ii) Climate Justice and the Sustainable Development Goals (iii) Active teaching methodologies around climate change
Part 2 Wednesday 16th June, 5-6.30pm
(i) Climate Action and pupil participation (ii) A mock global climate change negotiation (iii) Towards COP26 Glasgow 2021 (iv) Resources and case studies
