About this Event
This 3-part training event (3/3, 10/3, 24/3) will use active learning methodologies to allow teachers of the broad general education to help pupils to explore climate change, from the science, through climate justice and beyond climate anxiety, to climate action.
Part 1 Wednesday 3rd March, 5-6.30pm
(i) An introduction to climate change from a local to a global perspective(ii) Climate Change, social justice and the Sustainable Development Goals(iii) Active teaching methodologies around climate change
Part 2 Wednesday 10th March, 5-6.30pm
(i) Climate Action and pupil participation(ii) A mock global climate change negotiation (based on a UN COP meeting)(iii) Towards COP26 Glasgow 2021
Part 3 Wednesday 24th March, 5-6pm
(i) Case studies from around the world(ii) Resource share and cascading good practice
