‘Collaboration for COP26’ is a series of online Zoom meetings hosted and facilitated by IDEAS.
The aim is for people from across Scotland to join together, establishing a united understanding of current climate justice education activity and encouraging collaboration on resources, events and other projects. Through education we can mobilise to empower cross-sectoral collaboration and amplify young and marginalised voices.
Following on from two successful meetings so far, we are continuing to build on the new relationships, working groups, ideas and discussions around climate justice and education (specifically Global Citizenship Education and other approaches in transformative education) with COP26 as the stimulus.
Our second meeting took place on 5th May, where the working groups identified concrete next steps for taking forward education resources, events and other activities. They will be working on carrying out these action points before the next meeting.
These meetings are open to anyone interested in or already working in education and climate justice. If you did not attend any previous meetings, don’t worry – we welcome newcomers to the group with each meeting!
Registration for the next Zoom meeting on Tuesday 9th June (10.30 – 12.30) will go live soon and the link to sign up will be posted here here on the IDEAS website and on our Twitter page.
An agenda and notes from the previous sessions will be shared with registered participants prior to the meeting date.
If you would like to register your interest and receive an email with the link to sign up once it goes live, or if you have any further questions, please get in touch with Kate – [email protected]
