The Connecting Nature Innovation Summit will explore how we shift to greener cities that deliver for their citizens using nature-based solutions. It will share the learning from the community of cities involved in the Connecting Nature project and demonstrate innovative methods being developed collaboratively by Connecting Nature partners to realise the co-benefits of nature in cities.

The Summit content is designed around the following daily themes:
Day 1 Reducing the risks – nature-based solutions for biodiversity, climate change mitigation and adaptation, water management and extreme weather events.
Day 2 Healing sick cities – nature-based solutions for health, wellbeing, place-based planning, human scale, food growing and food provision.
Day 3 Routes to recovery – nature-based solutions for a green recovery, policy that supports natural infrastructure, nature-based enterprise, skills and employability.
Additionally, the summit launches the call to action Your messages to COP26, giving you the opportunity to let world leaders know what you need at international levels to support implementation of innovative nature-based solutions .
First in a series of three summits, the Connecting Nature Innovation Summit will showcase exemplar projects from across Europe and beyond with a focus on Glasgow and Scotland.
This free event is co-hosted by greenspace scotland and Glasgow City Council. Glasgow is a Connecting Nature Front-Runner City along with the cities of Genk (Belgium) and Poznan (Poland).
