Event Details

Esther and Sam will join us to share a conversation about witness and activism. We will hear their stories and experiences of being called to action, and their thoughts on making change happen. There will be a chance for questions and answers. This conversation will be facilitated by Lyndsay Burtonshaw, the Turning The Tide programme coordinator.

Led by: Esther Leighton and Sam Donaldson.

Esther is an equality consultant, law student and disabled person. She set up a peer support project for disabled people using the law for social change. At the moment she is mostly trying to work out how to make the world better while being one of the people stuck at home indefinitely.

Sam is a community worker and organisational coach based in Hull, and he writes poetry, teaches meditation. Sam has been involved in helping to establish Roots of Resistance – now named Quaker Roots – taking action against the DSEI arms fair, as well as taking action around climate justice.
