COP 26 Coalition: 3rd International Assembly Meeting
The COP26 Coalition wants to ensure that the voices of communities on the frontlines of climate breakdown, particularly in the Global South, stand front and centre on the streets of Scotland when world leaders finally meet for the COP26 climate talks in 2021. Building from a dynamic legacy of climate justice movements from past COPs, in this second meeting we will work to welcome new climate justice activists and strengthen the global climate justice movement engaged in various levels of mobilising, campaigning and movement building.
This third International Assembly Meeting will take place on Zoom on Thursday 24th September, 8am-10am UTC/9am – 11am BST. The meeting will be available in English. One of the main purposes of this assembly will be to discuss the online People’s Summit in November.
Please register your place on the Eventbrite page so you can receive the Zoom link and the details for how to join the call.
Seeing the positive response to the first call, we are proposing to have International Assembly Meetings online every 5-6 weeks going forward. To allow for participants from all time-zones to join, we are currently proposing to alternate the timing of the call in each successive meeting.
We look forward to seeing you on the 24th September.
