Event Details

Scotland needs investment in good, green jobs across care, health, ecosystem restoration, infrastructure and more.

About this Event

Over a year since the beginning of this pandemic, the vaccination programme offers hope that we’re finally on the road to recovery. The politicians we elect in May will have to rebuild our communities, create new jobs and tackle the climate crisis. Green jobs will be key to the recovery.

New data and analysis from Green New Deal UK shows the huge potential to create new green jobs right across Scotland.

You’ll hear from workers and campaigners across care, health, green infrastructure and ecosystem restoration about the potential for good, unionised, green jobs in Scotland.

Come along to hear about the number and type of jobs that could be created in your region and how we can put pressure on election candidates and new MSPs after the election to make them happen.

With:

Ryan Morrison, Friends of the Earth Scotland

Hannah Martin, Green New Deal UK

Isobel Mercer, RSPB

Susanne Napier, care worker & Unite Care Sector Shop Steward

Speaker from Health for a Green New Deal

There will be a live BSL interpretation for this event.
