About this Event
There remains a lack of recognition that the climate crisis is founded on racism, whether manifested in the colonialism that resulted in communities being stripped of their lands and resources, or in the present-day policies that see people of colour marginalised in climate change narratives or overlooked in climate change policymaking. In climate education, not only do the voices and narratives of frontline communities need to be foregrounded, but the racism that has created these inequalities needs to be unpacked. In this event participants will hear from a range of speakers and be invited to participate in online activities and dialogues around these themes.
