Ending sexual violence and healing its effects are necessary for the
full empowerment of all women and girls. While sexual violence and
threats of sexual violence are experienced by every woman and girl, the
impact of this form of violence disproportionately affects women and
girls who are poor, of color, young and/or marginalized. Our panel of
grassroots women leaders from around the world will discuss a) the tools
they have use to overcome the emotional effects of sexual violence in
their own lives and b) how to help others to do the same.
