Food is a precious resource. Hear from different faith communities about the ways in which they have been making sure that food is available to those who need it the most and have made sure that good food is not wasted.

For this event we will hear from Inverness Presbytery, Church of Scotland about a project which started during lockdown to ensure good food is available to anyone in need in the local area.

We will also hear from the team at Gate Church Carbon Saving Project in Dundee about their very successful Community Fridge. This can be accessed by anyone in the local area who can use the food on offer and helps stop lots of good food going to waste.

Inspiring examples of interfaith work will also be shared, ensuring that people in need across diverse communities received hot meals, particularly during the period of coronavirus lockdown.

This takes place during Scotland’s Climate Week (14th–20th September 2020) when organisations across the country aim to promote the message that, together, we can end Scotland’s contribution to climate change.
