Hello, and welcome back to Film Strike for Climate!
First
off, we’d like to thank everyone for your patience whilst the
hosting/coordination team re-configures during these uncertain times!
Who are we again?
The
Film Strike for Climate campaign is a grassroots movement of filmmakers
who share the purpose of realising the Global Film and Television
industry’s maximum socio-ecological impact through leadership, action
and storytelling.
Among much else, Film Strike for Climate has
amassed two marches and a separate group – Filmmakers for Future,
consisting of hundreds of wildlife filmmakers in Bristol in support of
Greta Thunberg’s Youth Strike for Climate campaign, which also gained
solidarity support from David Attenborough.
Film Strike
for Climate now has 5 main project groups underway. Among other goals
the intention of these groups is to identify and amplify the stories
that need to be told en masse to solve the interlinked Climate, Social
and Ecological crises.

- Social Media Outreach and Content
- Narrative Impact Research & Lobbying
- Action and Strategy
This
meeting will consist of an introduction to the campaign, its different
projects, and then we will separate out into breakout sessions for new
and existing members to explore and join the discussion of a project of
their choosing – each breakout session will be hosted by its respective
coordinator.
