An open panel discussion on REDD+ and social inclusion, drawing upon experiences from Indigenous People and Local Communities (IPLC) and Civil Society Organisations (CSO) representatives from across the world, exploring a variety of themes surrounding the importance of social inclusion in forest protection and land management. It will provide a focus on the valuable role of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) in forest stewardship and reflect on how REDD+ has supported these communities in the past, ambitions to continue doing so, and the challenges, complexities, and opportunities that it faces.
