About this Event
Green Arts Meetups are informal online gatherings for staff of Scotland’s arts and culture organisations, focusing on different aspects of green arts each month.
This meetup will be on the theme of Intersectional Justice in Climate Action.
- We will start with a talk from Ana T. Amorim-Maia, PhD Researcher at the Barcelona Lab for Urban Environmental Justice & Sustainability at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), on how we can apply an intersectional justice lens to our approaches to climate adaptation.
- We will then discuss how the consideration of intersectional justice can be applied to cultural organisations’ and individuals’ wider responses to climate change.

About Green Arts Online Meetups
Green Arts Meetups are informal online gatherings for staff of Scotland’s arts and culture organisations, each focusing on different aspects of the intersection between culture and environment. They are a chance for members of the Green Arts Initiative to keep in touch with each other and continue to share green arts skills and knowledge, even when working remotely.
This online event is for Green Arts Initiative members. If you work for a cultural organisation, which is not yet a member of the Green Arts Initiative, you can join the initiative here.
