Ceilidh Dancing demonstrations from Indepen-dance, an inclusive dance company for disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy, express, and fulfil their potential through dance. Don’t worry if you haven’t been to a ceilidh before, Indepen-dance will show you the moves.

Delicious food from Royston Community Kitchen who by day provide good, fresh food at a subsidised rate to help tackle food insecurity. Menu coming soon. All food will be vegan with gluten free and nut free options.

*for those who are new to this ….Ceilidh is pronounced ‘caylee‘. In Scotland ceilidhs are popular for any kind of celebration but especially weddings and are a place where all ages can get together and dance these beautiful set dances. Many Scots have dubious memories of ‘the social dancing’ from school where all children learn the dances by being forcibly paired up and made to dance to recorded music in a gym hall. But this will be different
