15nov2:30 pm4:00 pmLatin America at Boiling PointPeru, Bolivia and Chile: post-pandemic challenges in organising for climate justice and the energy transitionOnline

Event Details

As the economic impact of the pandemic sets in, Latin American countries are reactivating their economies with extractive energy infrastructure projects which damage ecosystems and communities, often in the Amazon. Ignoring the urgency of the climate crisis, governments are busy undermining environmental policies and replacing them with harmful ones. This session will platform voices from Peru, Bolivia and Brazil who will illustrate the dire situation and make the case for a just energy transition.

All events will take place on Zoom and we will email through the relevant links beforehand when you register. You can get help installing zoom here.
