The Loving Earth Project is an international community textile project about what is at risk with climate change and what people are doing about it. It aims to help people engage with the issues without being overwhemed and to take some action. It also nurtures those already engaged and is helping people with climate anxiety . A short introductory video is at https://youtu.be/ukmiuHWAMlE and more information about the project is at http://lovingearth-project.uk .
This Zoom workshop event will get you started on making a textile panel to join our exhibition. It can be in any style, as long as it’s 30x30cm and you don’t need to be an expert; suitable for anyone aged about 11 upwards (with adult supervision).
Please email [email protected] to book your place in advance and receive the Zoom link. You’ll be invited to do a little preparation from home in advance of the event, though this is not essential. )
All welcome, wherever you are in the world. All times are UK time.
PS If you want to join the project but can’t make this time, the Loving Earth Project website also has the information you need to know to join the project, including introductions in many langages and resources to help panel-makers and to help you run your own workshop.
