About this Event
- Join us to effectively tackle climate change in Moray together.
- Keynote address by Dr Martin Valenti – Head of Climate Enterprise at Scottish Enterprise.
The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) will take place in November 2021 in Glasgow. This is arguably one of the most important meetings that will determine global efforts to mitigate the worst effects of climate change.
This represents an unmissable opportunity for Scotland (and so Moray) to demonstrate and build upon the incredible cross-sector work that is taking place to tackle climate change.
In response, tsiMORAY is establishing Moray’s Climate Assembly to highlight existing, and stimulate new, local action on climate change.
Join us for the first of many climate assemblies leading up to COP26 and beyond, with our first event – It’s a Fair COP26 – exploring:
- What COP26 is and why it is important to Moray
- What is already happening in Moray to deal with climate change and ways to get involved/collaborate
- New actions to make net zero emissions by 2045 (or sooner) a reality in Moray.
We are very excited to be joined by Dr Martin Valenti, Head of Climate Enterprise at Scottish Enterprise, who will kick off our first assembly with his provocative and stimulating style of addressing audiences on the issues relating to climate change. See below for a full biography.
We look forward to seeing you there. For more information please email [email protected] or call 01343 541713.
