Our Community, Our Choices: Mechanical Engineers

NESCAN (North East Climate Action Network) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) are joining forces to bring this facilitated workshop to mechanical engineers in the North East.

Make your visions for the future of Communities heard!

What to Expect?

This workshop is being taken to communities and groups across the region, in both live and online formats, to ensure we can get the voices of different people represented in front of decision makers. It is part of a campaign that includes a questionnaire, a schools pack, and a collection of artwork by local artists. We will produce a report for local and regional government and plan to present it at a stall in the Greenzone at the COP26 in November

The format will as follows:

• 5 minute introduction
• 20 minute ice breaker discussion about climate change
• 15 presentation on Just Transition and COP26
• 45 minutes of group-based visioning of your community of the future- what do you hope for? what are the barriers?
• Wrap-up
