Most people eat meat despite knowing that doing so causes animal suffering and damages the environment. In this talk we will explore the psychology that underpins meat consumption. Further, we will discuss the psychological overlap between meat consumption and other environmental concerns such as sweatshop clothing and conflict minerals.
This talk centres on the theme of culture and community by discussing how culture is both part of the problem and the solution to environmental concerns.
