Join us and Deidre Brock MP for Edinburgh North and Leith online on Monday 9th November from 5pm to 6pm for an interesting debate on Politics and the Climate Emergency. We will hear from the achievements and proposals from her party to tackle the climate emergency. After the presentation from the party’s environmental actions and policies, we will hold an open Q&A.

The Arctic is melting, California is on fire and Bangladesh is sinking. We are only at 1 degree of warming and expected to significantly miss the internationally agreed 2 degrees target. Promises of a green recovery from Covid-19 are yet to come to fruition and time is running out to prevent us reaching irreversible tipping points.

With just over one year until COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland is primed to play a leading role in the global effort to combat climate change, and at the heart of the conversation will be government. Join us as we convene an elected member from each of the political parties represented in Scotland, to tell us how their party thinks we should deal with the climate emergency.

Each evening, a representative will give a ten minutes presentation on their parties’ policies and actions, before we open up the session to audience questions. Following the individual sessions, we will gather all the speakers together for a panel discussion on November 18th, at 5PM where they will debate questions asked by YOU.
