Redeem Exchange is part of Trade Right International, a natural skin care manufacturer, based in Greenock. Last year, COVID-19 led to a National and International shortage of not only Hand Sanitiser, but also the bottles and closures in which to produce it. What it also brought to the forefront was the immense plastic waste being created as a result.
There are extensive numbers of relevant bottles already in use in services and these can be reused, and their lifecycle extended creating less waste and a higher, more guaranteed frequency of supply. Over the last year, we have been encouraging businesses to view their empty plastic bottles as a financial asset, and by reusing them through our service will not only reduce their outgoing costs, but it also supports their impact on the environment, and their move towards zero waste. Something we feel very strongly about, and with a heavy focus towards COP26, the time has never been better to encourage more businesses to adopt a different attitude towards their plastic waste.
During “Climate Fringe Week”, we would like to shine a spot light on some of the organisations we are working with, some of the people involved, as well as invite our local school communities to become involved. Please join in and share, like and celebrate with us.
