Event Details

Join us for a virtual conference panel of indigenous leaders of Burma as they discuss the new
threats, challenges and solutions to forest conservation and climate change mitigation following the February 1st Military Coup.

While members of the Burma’s Military Junta have been invited to the COP-26 in Glasgow, this conference panel will show the real situation of Burma’s forest protectors and the challenges that they face.

This special virtual conference on the eve of COP26 is being held to give interested parties, audiences and the media a rare chance to hear directly from those on the ground – indigenous forest people, activists and campaigners – about what is really happening in Myanmar under military rule.
