Event Details

The Landing Hub opens its doors to welcome artists and musicians: the Pilgrims of Nature, the Seed Sistas and Roo and Pablo for an evening of majestic performance. Expect Scottish folk music, plant wisdom, extraordinary audiovisuals, and the joy of being together.

Join a group of ordinary people who set off on an extraordinary odyssey, walking 500 miles up The Spine of Albion, an ancient leyline running along Britain’s longest north-south axis. After 8 weeks of walking they’ve reached Glasgow ready for the opening weekend of UNCOP26. The Pilgrims have created an uplifting ceremony to celebrate the opening of The Landing Hub and kickstart the conference from the ground up.

Bring an offering, dress up as your favourite plant, and immerse yourself in a hypnotic visual installation ‘Strange Loop’ (Jamie Wardrop and Sita Pieraccini) where partygoers are invited to bring foliage which – under microscope – will transform into cosmic universes right before your eyes.

Our opening party is a fundraiser for Refuweegee. Refuweegee is a Glasgow based community-led charity that gives people a way to welcome and embrace those newest to arrive to the city. They work to help those who have been forced to flee their homes arrive in Scotland to a warm welcome and some of the things that will help people to feel more at home here. The party is free to enter, but for those who can afford it, we’d suggest a donation of £5. All donations will go directly to support the work of this excellent organisation.
