About this Event

The crises we face require cooperation and innovation at the Local and the Global level. Learn about how permaculture food systems and People’s Assemblies can build resilient local communities; and discover the transformational potential of Democratic Confederalism and Earth Citizenship to create World Peace.

Patrick Thelwell is a Politics and International Relations graduate from UoY, currently applying to study a PhD at the York Interdisciplinary Global Development Centre on the need for a Global Democracy to solve humanity’s existential crises. He ran for local council for the Green Party in his second year, and is a passionate climate justice activist.
