As with all of the other UK Anthology Series episodes, we are currently working on a short animated video that touches on the many dimensions of this topic. This will be played at the beginning of the session.
During this session we will look at how UK landownership inequalities can be seen as both an obstacle for peatland restoration and protection, while at the same time offering a key opportunity for peatland action.
We will discuss how landownership in the UK currently works, what kinds of communities are working to change the current system, as well as projects that are encouraging landowners to use their land in different ways than they currently are.
