This talk will discuss why plants now come into flower earlier than they used to and why this varies between species.

Plants now come into flower earlier than they used to, because of warmer spring temperatures driven by rapid climate change. The scale of change is dramatic but varies greatly among species. The talk will explore the reasons for that and its consequences.
