Join Themis and distinguished speakers in celebration of the efforts of women across the globe in the fight for climate justice and preservation of the planet! The event will shed light on the advent of women leadership in enviromental matters and how consumerism has been swaped for feminism in fight for sustainability.

SPEAKERS:

Daniela Coll Ross- Founder and Managing Director, Young Leaders Costa Rica.

Monica Feria-Tinta- public international law Barrister at Twenty Essex Chambers with an expertise in environment and climate change law.

Joana Setzer- Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Ingrid Gubbay- litigator and campaign lawyer with 25 years’ experience and heads the HR & Environmental team at Hausfeld.

In particular, our speakers will be sharing their professional insights on the following topics:

• The role of women claimants in enviromental matters, with a particular focus on indigenous communities.

• Theories of regenerative cultures and the role of the women advocates within them.

• Legal climate argumentation and how women perspectives influence litigation in enviromental human rights cases.

• The steps young lawyers should take to establish a practice in the field and the prospects of future work in the climate sphere.

The event will take the form of a panel discussion with the opportunity to ask questions at the end.
