Join us for three exciting introductory webinars with expert speakers who will bring you up to speed on the biggest issue of our time.
Webinar 1 – Climate Science 101 (Monday 20th July)
Earth scientist turned climate activist – Dr. Aaron Thierry will take us through the basics of climate science. Why is climate change a crisis, what’s causing it, and what does it mean for each of us?
Webinar 2 – Climate Justice 101 (Wednesday 22nd July)
We will hear from Tanya Hill, a representative of Young friends of the Earth, England, Wales & Northern Ireland, and Amadi Mgbenihu,Chief Editor for the youths and climate change magazine of Young Friends of the Earth Nigeria as they explain what is meant by the concept of climate justice and how it can inform how we campaign for climate action.
Webinar 3 – Climate Solutions (Thursday 23rd July)
In this third webinar we are hosting a question and answer session with the wonderful Paul Allen of the Centre for Alternative Technology and amazing Muna Suleiman, the campaign lead for climate action for Friends of the Earth. Bring your toughest questions about energy or transport or food or how we can have a green recovery from the corona virus pandemic, it’s up to you.
