Event Details
In July 2022, the Edinburgh Climate Action Network (ECAN) held its first event and kick-started a conversation about our shared vision for a “living city,” and the need for more joined-up thinking and action to make this vision happen.
This second ECAN event will build on the discussions that were started in July, create new and useful connections, and start building a network which can contribute towards the goals set out in these discussions.
Join us at the Grassmarket Community Project for a relaxed evening of food and drink, provided by their award-winning social enterprise cafe. Together we will celebrate what’s already happening across Edinburgh, create a map of our vision for a living city, and plan how a community network will support communities to make that future happen.
By coming to this event you will have the opportunity to:
- See an overview of community climate action happening all across Edinburgh
- Create useful partnerships and collaborations with like-minded groups
- Define ECAN’s priorities and activities, and how the network should be organised and led
- Be encouraged and inspired! Climate action is tough, and reminding ourselves that we are not working alone is essential.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event, whether you are an individual, you come from a community group, or from a different kind of organisation which would like to engage with and support community climate action. You do not have to represent a climate-focused group to attend this event. You only have to want a fairer, greener future for Edinburgh. In the interest of having a balance of all perspectives in the room, we ask that a maximum of 2 people from each group attends.
Financial support for transport and childcare are available for those who require it. Please specify if you need this in the registration form.
