Event Details
There are very few defining moments in history, but for members of the Argyll and Bute community this is your chance to be in the driving seat, at the threshold of a new era, a grassroots developmental movement for Argyll and Bute.
Be at the forefront of change and help to create a road map designed to enable a sustainable and resilient future for the communities across the region. Together we can embrace this opportunity, engage with peers in order to achieve the ambitious goal of formalising the Argyll and Bute Network; and discussing the path to Regional Hub creation.
In this informal gathering, we will discuss the Argyll and Bute Network in anticipation of its launch; along with how the Argyll and Bute Regional Climate Action Hub might be developed. You will be able to ask questions face to face with Louisa Harvey, the Community Climate Action Team Leader, Climate Change Division, Directorate for Energy and Climate Change, who is overseeing the Regional Network and Hub programme for the Scottish Government.
An overview will be provided of what is happening across the region. We will examine how the network can be utilised as a force for change within Argyll and Bute. And begin discussions to define what the priorities should be for the Network and Hub.
Overall, at the end of the day it is hoped that you will leave feeling inspired, armed with a better understanding of how, through the Network and Hub, we can achieve improved outcomes for our communities across the whole of Argyll and Bute!
Together we can turn this vision of a Regional Network and Hub into a reality!
Refreshments will be served.
This and all events are open to any individual, community group or business. You do not need to be climate-focused, and you do not need to have an understanding of climate science.
This event is for anyone who wishes to see a fairer, greener future for Argyll & Bute and wishes to contribute to the development of our regional Argyll and Bute Network.
In the interest of having a balance of all perspectives in the room, we ask that a maximum of 2 people from each group attends.
This event is free to all and all are welcome. Financial support for transport and childcare are available for those who require it. Please specify if you need this in the registration form.
