Loch Druidibeg is one of the best places in the Uists to see both golden and sea eagles, alongside hen harriers, short-eared owls, merlin and rare divers as well as a wonderfully rich variety of plants.
Cost for this walk is £3 for RSPB Members, £6 for non-members. Children go free. Please pay for this event on the day, we can only accept cash payments.

Experience Insh Marshes from a new perspective!
Under the guidance of an instructor from Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, our team member will lead this special guided tour through the reserve, where you can experience the unique habitats and species at Insh Marshes from the water.
Feel free to bring your own paddleboard if you have one, but don’t worry if not – Cairngorms Connect has kindly sponsored this event so equipment hire is included with your ticket, if needed.
Participants will also be welcome to claim 10% off a meal or snacks in the Boathouse Restaurant to refuel after the event.
Children over 12 welcome, under 18s with an accompanying adult. We will meet at the Loch Insh Outdoor Centre car park.

Join RSPB staff and our resident fungi enthusiast on a guided walk to discover the array of different wild and wonderful mushrooms that can be found on the reserve. Learn some different ID features and fascinating facts as we look a little closer at RSPB Loch of Kinnordy.
We will meet in the main car park at Loch of Kinnordy and be using the core path therefore walking shoes would be acceptable. Please dress appropriately according to weather forecasts.

Discover the mysterious world of bats as we explore RSPB Baron’s Haugh in search of these illusive creatures.
With its mix of ancient trees, historic buildings and winding river, Baron’s Haugh is a paradise for bats. Starting at dusk this walk will allow you to experience the reserve as never before. We will explore the reserve using bat detectors to identify as many species as possible and will help you understand the secretive life of these amazing mammals.
Please bring torches and suitable clothing/footwear for the event.

This Feel-Good Workshop will be led by Becky Duncan of Open Aye (OpenAye.co.uk)
Outdoor photo walks connect people to nature, inspire creativity and leave people feeling good!
Becky has training in participatory facilitation, forest bathing and is a professional photographer. Becky has been running similar Wellbeing Of the Woods photo walk sessions for Scottish Forestry for a number of years and participants regularly report enhanced wellbeing after the workshops.
During the event participants will be led on a guided walk and invited to participate in set photo activities which may include experimenting with tips and techniques for taking better pics and tasks that encourage creativity in nature.
Participants may use any type of camera, from mobile phones, to SLRs, whatever they feel comfortable with. All abilities are welcome and everyone will gain something from the experience.
Participants must be 18 or over or accompanied by a paying adult over 18
Please note, this event is subject to change in response to government guidelines on covid-19.
