SUSTAINABLE STYLE PRESENTS… Sustainable Style Charity Gala 2023
SUSTAINABLE STYLE PRESENTS…
Sustainable Style Charity Gala 2023
March 9th, 2023 at Falside Mill
Sustainable Style is excited to invite you to our first ever Charity Gala, a unique event sure to stand out from the ball circuit this semester. While promising to keep your glasses full and your ears piqued by a live music performance, we will also regale your sights with an exhibition of sustainable student-made fashion, jewelry, and art, which will be available for guests to purchase in a silent auction. There are also great prizes to be won in our raffle, including gift cards for slow-fashion brands like Molby the Label, Treen, and more.
Place your auction bids while enjoying complementary bites, with gluten-free and vegan options available. At 10:00 PM, the auction will close and the after party will commence, featuring music that will keep you on your feet all night. The Gala ticket includes admission to the afterparty.
100% of net proceeds from the Gala and auction will be donated to Fashion Revolution, a charity organisation ‘campaigning for a clean, safe, fair and transparent fashion industry.’ Come along for an evening of elegance and celebration of slow fashion, from our own St Andrews community and beyond. This is a black-tie event with transport by coach included. Set your reminders for the early bird ticket drop February 9th, you won’t want to miss this!

Join SFS Creative Director Mairi Lowe for a talk and Q&A on marketing and communicating sustainability. Bring along your fashion and textile marketing challenges for us to explore and workshop ideas together!
Whether you are looking to maximise profit, raise awareness of sustainability issues or encourage behaviour change, an effective marketing and communications strategy is essential for any organisation. However, many individuals and small businesses working in fashion and textiles in Scotland don’t have the time or capacity to dedicate to marketing.
Are you a small business owner who needs a communications plan that fits into your busy schedule? Perhaps you run sewing workshops and don’t know which newsletter tool is best to use? Are you wondering if TikTok is really worth it? Maybe you are looking for suggestions on who to collaborate with to expand your reach?
If you have a marketing challenge you’d like help with, please join Mairi, a freelance Communications Consultant specialising in sustainable fashion in Scotland, for a short talk sharing her top tips and tools, plus a Q&A session where together we will explore ideas and workshop solutions, learning from one another.
There is a space in the registration form to share any marketing challenges or questions you have in advance.
This event is organised by Sustainable Fashion Scotland.
