What is a Community Climate Action Hub?
A national network of climate action hubs is being set up across Scotland to support communities to take forward climate action in their areas. As well as helping to co-ordinate and build on existing activity, hubs will work together to learn from each other and share good practice.
Hubs will help to build on and co-ordinate climate action in their area, by:
- building awareness of the climate emergency and actions local groups can take
- developing local plans
- helping groups identify funding opportunities
- facilitating networking between groups
- ensuring a joined-up approach is taken to tackling climate change at a regional level
- build awareness of the climate emergency and actions local groups can take
Scottish Communities Climate Action Network Coordinators are working with communities to understand the needs of their area, and support groups with the application process.
If you have any questions or can’t attend an information event but would like to feed in your thoughts and contributions please get in contact with Lisa Busby, Ayrshire Climate Action Network Coordinator, at [email protected].
