Event Details

Beth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle are presenting a series of digital collages “25 Ways To Make Love to The Earth” for NEoN digital arts Wired Women festival which coincides with COP26. What’s sexy about saving the planet? Funny you should ask. Because that is precisely what Beth and Annie have spent many years bringing to light in their lived art, taking the Earth as our lover and making our mutual pleasure an embodied expression of passion for the environment. Ever since, they have been not just pushing but obliterating the boundaries circumscribing biology and ecology, creating ecosexual art in our performance of an environmentalism that is feminist, queer, sensual, sexual, post-human, materialist, and steeped in humour and love.

To celebrate the launch of this work, NEoN will be screening “Water Makes Us Wet” on Monday 1st November. The film is a poetic blend of curiosity, humor, sensuality and concern, this film chronicles the pleasures and politics of H2O from an ecosexual perspective.

The film will be followed by a live streamed Q A with Annie and Beth hosted by Wired Women curator Ailie Rutherford
