We’re excited to invite you to our first Share and Repair community repair shop and skills share on Saturday 10 September!
Our Share and Repair event will see local craftspeople and businesses in Aberdeen offering their help to repair items that have seen better days, as well as sharing these skills with our group gathering local autistic teens and their parents, carers and friends.
The idea is to to create a free meeting place and be all about repairing things (together). Visitors will find tools and materials to help them make any repairs needed. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, etcetera.
Believing in the ‘right to repair’, we strive to mobilise local communities into a civic movement of ‘sharing and repairing’ and start our own Repair Cafe as a follow up plan.
