Join the Bunloit Rewilding team and partners to hear about our cutting edge Natural Capital science work in Scotland
The Bunloit Rewilding team and partners will share what we’ve learnt this year developing carbon and biodiversity baselines for the Bunloit estate, on the western shore of Loch Ness.
Together with Plantlife – the wild plant conservation charity – we will present the findings of our natural-capital science report, which we have developed with a range of academic specialists, local ecologists, exciting start-ups, volunteer students and our in-house ranger team.
Some of our most cutting edge tech partners will give short TED-style talks about their solutions and their involvement in the Bunloit estate surveys. These are:
– Agricarbon – High intensity, direct soil carbon testing, at scale
– Climate Systems Exchange – LIDAR and Drone modelling of in-situ woodland carbon stocks
– Terra Motion – Using satellite imagery to model changes in Peatlands and assess key areas of carbon loss
– NatureMetrics – Powerful, scalable biodiversity data using DNA
Finally, we will have a Q&A with our founder Jeremy Leggett about his experience developing fast-growth companies focused on climate-change solutions, his current scaling plans for Highlands Rewilding, and thoughts on what the post-COP future will look like.
