G2G and Open Source have been devleoping a training based on our extensive experience of facilitating group processes – and our ongoing research into citizen-led deliberative democracy. Our course lasts 2 and a half days and we usually run it over a Friday (evening – sometimes online), Saturday and Sunday. We are working on a fully online version which will hopefully be ready towards the end of 2023.
Our next planned training is on October 6th (6.30-8.30pm online) and 13th (evening, optional),14+15th all day, in Aberdeen. If you would like to join us, please fill inthis application formbefore the 25th of September 2023.
People’s assemblies can be an amazing tool for connecting with a wide range of people in your community, creating plans to develop bottom-up plans and building momentum for change locally, regionally and nationally. In these times of crisis, we need to come together to change HOW we make our collective decisions – and WHO makes them.
We’re delighted to be offering this free training. The information you share here will enable us to tailor what we’re offering and try to meet your learning needs as closely as possible.
The training will be held in Torry, Aberdeen. We will provide Friday dinner, Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch, but other meals and accommodation are not provided.
