Event Details

Co-organised with Woodlands Community, we are holding a networking event to discuss all things community composting.

You will have a chance to discover why community composting is important, learn about different models of community composting, and discuss how to improve composting in Central/West Glasgow.

You’ll also see a working example of how we are already doing community composting at Woodlands, and hear about our future plans and how to be involved. We hope we will support you to foster new collaborations and leave with practical ways forward for your own composting situation.

We want to hear from community growers, community food organisations, local cafes, allotments, housing associations – you name it! If you want to connect with others who are passionate about composting, want to network and share thoughts and ideas, or are just curious to learn more, this event is for you.

For more info, contact Jenny on [email protected] or via this contact form.

Woodlands Community are hosting a community meal afterwards, which is not affiliated to this event, but which attendees of this event are welcome to join. More info can be found on their website.

Access

The Meeting Room is fully wheelchair accessible. The path from the main entrance on Ashley St has three steps, but there is a side entrance (gate) via the lane that is ramped and fully accessible. If you require disabled access, we recommend getting in touch with us in advance so that we can make sure that the side entrance is open. The inside of the building is all on one level and has a wheelchair accessible toilet.
