Event Details

Following the success of the COP26 Youth Gathering on 30th October, we would like to invite you to join us for “COP26: From a youth perspective” hosted by RSPB Scotland Giving Nature a Home in partnership with David Livingstone Birthplace.

Now that we’ve had some time to gather ourselves RSPB Scotland’s COP26 Climate Change Youth project will be reflecting on the two weeks of negotiations, marches, events, workshops and connections made during UNFCCC COP26.

Many, in particular young people, gathered in Glasgow for COP26 with cautious optimism and an energy that was fuelled by hope for change. With a clear youth presence, both inside and out of the secure zones, we are keen to hear and help share your experiences of COP26 with a wider youth audience.

The event will take place online as a Zoom webinar on Thursday 16th December from 5:00 – 6:30pm. There will be an opportunity to share pre-recorded videos and presentations as the first part of the event, which will then be followed by a chaired discussion around what happened during COP26, what are the wins that can be taken away from the negotiations and what learnings can young people take away from COP26 and back to their communities?

This event is aimed at young people; therefore if you are under 18 please ensure that you have parental/ carer permission to watch and if you are under 16, please make sure that you watch with a responsible adult from a shared space.
