Event Details

(en)countering crisis + re:making futures is a series of exhibitions by RotU artists, showing in november 2021, at Komplex gallery in glasgow.

The selection of work on display reflects the artistic and eclectic talents of Nosheen Khwaja, Chris Manson, Fadzai Mwakutuya, Nalini Paul, Jamie Temple, Roman San Roman + Anton Vasiliadis (VBC).

Whilst each of these artists approach their craft in a different way, the thread that runs throughout their work is an exploration of issues related to the particularities of economic growth dependent/dominant societies, extraction, imperialism, climate change, capitalism, and the impact this has on our relationships with nature and each other.
