About this event
This event is taking place as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
As we continue on the journey to net zero, we’ll consider the concerns of ethical businesses and consumers as we take climate action; along with Scotland’s carbon footprint and conscious consumption.
We’ll discuss the hidden emissions in imported food and products, and progress being made towards a fairer footprint for small-scale producers who grow the food we consume.
We’ll also hear from a farmer about the actions they’re taking now to deal with the impact of climate change on their livelihoods, and the environmental, social and economic benefits of Fairtrade.
Speakers:
Tracy Mitchell – Managing Director, Just Trading Scotland
Miriam Adcock – Communications Consultant, Zero Waste Scotland
Fairtrade Foundation – TBC
Fairtrade farmer – TBC
